Motivation Zhou et al . presented that an unique 30-amino-acid deletion in Nsp2-coding region is a key feature to classify whether a strain is a highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). And the Nsp2, nonstructural protein 2, has been shown to undergo remarkable genetic variation, primarily in its middle region, while exhibiting high conservation in the N-terminal putative protease domain and the C-terminal predicted transmembrane region ( Han et al . 2007 ). This post aims to show how to find a quite large deletion in a specific coding-region with positional tolerance. Figure 1. " The Programming Language with Happiest Users "라는 재미 있는 블로그 포스트를 접하게 되었다. 트윗터의 글을 분석하여 코볼, 루비, 포트란, 파이선, 비주얼 베이직, 펄, 자바, 학셀, 리스트, 씨 언어를 이용해서 개발하는 프로그래머들의 긍정적 감정 지수(positive sentiment; 행복도?)를 계산해본 것이다. 물론 저자도 밝히고 있지만 학문적으로 엄밀한 계산이라기 보다는 개괄적인 방향성을 파악할 수 있는 정도일 것이다. 결과는 가장 낮음 점수를 받은 것 부터 보면, ( 도표 보기 인용: http://assets.doloreslabs.com/images/LangSent.png) 코볼 ( 꼴찌 ) 씨 언어 계열 (C, C++, objective-C, C#) 비주얼 베이직 포트란 파이선 루비 학셀 자바 리스프 펄 ( 1등 ) 결과에서 코볼이 가장 낮은 것으로 나온 것은 쉽게 긍정할 수 있다("."를 빼먹어서 수 백개의 에러 메시지를 받아 보신다면 쉽게 이해하 실 것 같다). 그리고 펄이 1등을 차지 했다. 위 개발언어 목록에서 Turbo C 2.0, Borland C++, VB 6.0, Perl을 가지고 제품수준의 개발을 해봤고, 요즘 Python을 배우는 경험으로 내 마음속의 순위를 매겨 보았다. 4.
